Manchester Avenue is already buzzing when you walk up to the block. There's a heavy bassline leaking right through the brick wall and hitting the pavement. Loud room. The door guy checks IDs without looking up, and you're stepping straight into the main space before your eyes adjust to the red stage lights. It's sticky, loud, and packed tight with people holding plastic cups.

You'll notice right away that this isn't some pristine showcase room. The walls are covered in old gig posters peeling at the corners, and the sound system rattles your teeth whenever the drummer hits the floor tom. Sticky floors. People are elbowing past each other to get near the bar rails, spilling drinks while the guitar player tunes up between songs. It's hot inside, and nobody's running the AC tonight.

If you step outside for a quick smoke break, the neighborhood street noise mixes with the sound check bleeding through the side doors. Alley chatter. You'll catch folks trading stories about past shows while leaning against the fence. The bouncer taps your shoulder when it's time to head back inside for the next set, pointing right at the glowing neon exit sign hanging above the side door.
